Kaitlyn Phillips

Kaitlyn is passionate about supporting children, teens, adults, and families through life’s challenges with empowerment and warmth. She specializes in helping youth and families navigate ADHD, anxiety, OCD, academic stress, family conflict, trauma, and the effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Her work also involves supporting families, especially parents, in understanding that helping a child often means helping the whole family feel more equipped and less overwhelmed. Whether you’re a child, teen, adult, or parent trying to help your family through something challenging, Kaitlyn understands that feeling genuinely seen and supported creates the foundation for meaningful change. She takes a flexible, integrative approach to psychotherapy, adapting her style to fit a child’s developmental stage or an adult’s specific goals and experiences.

Kaitlyn is dedicated to helping you or your child understand what’s underneath the struggle, while building greater awareness of the patterns showing up in thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Her goal is to support the whole family in building emotional resilience, strengthening self-understanding, and developing skills they can apply in the home and at school. She creates a warm, welcoming space where children and teens feel free to be themselves, and where parents feel genuinely supported and informed. Kaitlyn believes everyone has the capacity for growth, and she works collaboratively with children, teens, and families to build the confidence and skills needed to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion.

You can expect a supportive, collaborative space where children, teens, and adults feel safe to identify patterns, regulate emotions, and develop strategies to live a more fulfilling life. Kaitlyn’s approach is grounded in person-centred therapy and integrates CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which she modifies to fit a child’s age and developmental stage. Families often see how past experiences and relationships continue to shape day-to-day behaviour and emotional responses, and Kaitlyn works alongside children and adults to strengthen relationships at home and build lasting confidence in handling life’s challenges
