Virtual Therapy In Ontario, In Person Therapy in Hamilton, Oakville & London
Alexis works with adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma-related concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and challenges related to self-esteem. Many of her clients describe feeling on edge, emotionally overwhelmed, self-critical, or disconnected from themselves or others, despite being thoughtful and capable people. Past experiences may show up through persistent worry, hypervigilance, perfectionism, emotional shutdown, or difficulty feeling safe and grounded. Alexis understands how trauma and chronic stress can shape the nervous system, relationships, and sense of safety in the world, and she offers a supportive space to begin creating change.
Therapy with Alexis is warm, collaborative, and grounded in a person-centred, trauma-informed approach. She integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, compassion-focused therapy, somatic approaches, and motivational interviewing. Sessions are guided by the client’s needs, comfort level, and pace, with a strong emphasis on safety, consent, and collaboration. Alexis helps clients build practical coping skills while increasing emotional regulation and bodily attunement, to support greater regulation and reduced reactivity.
Alexis will meet you where you are and support you in developing self-compassion, resilience, and a stronger sense of internal stability. She believes healing is not about “fixing” oneself, but about building awareness, learning to respond with intention, and cultivating a kinder relationship with oneself. Clients often describe Alexis as warm, thoughtful, and grounding. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, Alexis is honoured to support you in moving toward a life that feels more grounded, present, and aligned with who you are.
