Shawna Smigelski

Shawna believes that therapy should help you create a life that feels more balanced, connected, and aligned with what matters most to you. She provides a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore life’s challenges openly while building the insight and practical skills needed for lasting change. Shawna works with teens, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, perfectionism, life transitions, family conflict, relationship concerns, career and workplace challenges, mood disorders, and feelings of being stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected.

Shawna takes an integrative and collaborative approach to psychotherapy, recognizing that every person’s experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. She draws primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), humanistic therapy, and relational-cultural therapy, while helping clients better understand their nervous system responses, strengthen emotional regulation, and explore how their relationships, family experiences, personal values, and environment have shaped the way they think, feel, and relate to others.

Shawna believes that meaningful therapy begins with understanding your unique experiences. She works collaboratively with teens, adults, couples, and families to help them navigate anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, perfectionism, life transitions, family conflict, relationship challenges, workplace concerns, and feelings of being stuck or disconnected.
