Virtual Therapy In Ontario, In Person Therapy in Hamilton, Oakville & London

Julia Davidson

Julia works with children, teens, and adults experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and mental health concerns. She understands that watching your child struggle can leave you feeling helpless. Julia creates a warm, supportive space where children feel safe to express themselves, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to navigate life’s challenges. She believes meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and respect, and for younger clients especially, that trust is built through play, creativity, and patience rather than expecting a child to simply talk things through.

Julia supports children and adults navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, body image concerns, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, behavioural challenges, autism, developmental disabilities, school-related difficulties, peer relationships, family conflict, self-harm, and suicidal ideation, along with a particular interest in women’s mental health and life transitions. When working with children and younger adolescents, she carefully tailors her approach to each child’s developmental stage , often incorporating play therapy, art, sandplay, music, and movement, giving kids ways to express what’s going on that don’t rely on having the words for it yet.

With teens and adults, Julia draws from Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, ACT, DBT, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and values-based work to help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses to stress, and build coping strategies that actually hold up. Whether it’s a child learning to name and manage big feelings, a teen navigating school or identity, or an adult working through anxiety or trauma, Julia’s goal is to help you or your child build the confidence and skills to create a life, or a childhood that feels more balanced.
