Virtual Therapy In Ontario, In Person Therapy in Hamilton, Oakville & London
Emma believes that a safe, supportive, and genuine connection is the foundation for meaningful change. She is passionate about supporting individuals through perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including depression, anxiety, and OCD. Emma also works with individuals facing similar challenges outside of the perinatal period. She completed her training at the Women’s Health Concerns Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, bringing expertise in women’s and perinatal mental health. She understands that feeling truly seen and heard can help you access what is needed to make therapy successful.
She takes a flexible approach, primarily drawing from CBT and ERP, while also integrating principles from IPT, ACT, and EFT as appropriate to meet your individual needs. Using these tools, Emma helps you identify unconscious patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, develop practical strategies to manage symptoms, and build confidence in yourself and your decisions. She creates a warm, holding space where you can explore what feels too scary or overwhelming to express elsewhere.
You can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where you feel safe to explore how past experiences influence your current thoughts, relationships, and self-perception. Ultimately, Emma’s goal is to help you feel present, grounded, and empowered, whether that means managing intrusive thoughts and anxiety, lifting the weight of depression, or finding clarity and balance during major life changes. She believes you are the expert of your own life, and her role is to support you in building the skills and insight to create a life that aligns with your values.
