Sarah Sousa

Sarah Sousa

Student Intern, MACP Candidate Registered Psychotherapist, Qualifying

Sarah is passionate about helping adolescents, young adults, parents, and families navigate the complexities of identity, relationships, academic stress, and emotional wellbeing. For over twelve years, she has worked as a middle and high school teacher, helping students and families navigate academic pressure, relational dynamics, communication and emotional growth. This experience gives her a developmentally informed perspective on how early experiences mold identity, and how formative patterns often persist into adulthood.

As a psychotherapist, Sarah brings this insight into her clinical work, offering a space grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect. She believes that true healing begins when we slow down, listen inward, and unlearn the beliefs and roles that no longer serve us. Her goal is for you to leave the session feeling seen, supported, and more connected to yourself.

Sarah’s approach is integrative and relational, focusing on building safety and trust within the therapeutic relationship. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based CBT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy to tailor treatment to each person’s needs and goals.

Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, Sarah offers a calm and reflective space to explore, heal, and grow. She specializes in working with pre-teens, adolescents and adults who are looking to break limiting beliefs, erase maladaptive/unhealthy practices, process emotions, set boundaries, and reconnect with their authentic selves.

Sarah is honored to support you in finding clarity and balance, and in building healthier relationships with yourself and those around you.
